Privacy Policy
In short: Car Ambience has no account, no ads and no tracking. Your choices stay on your iPhone. We never sell your information. To show you scenes, handle purchases and fix crashes, a few trusted services process the minimum technical data they need, as described below.
Who we are
This policy covers the Car Ambience: Video & Sound app for iPhone, iPad and Apple CarPlay (the “app”) and this website, both provided by OriStudios, Türkiye (“we”, “us”). OriStudios is the data controller (veri sorumlusu under KVKK) for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at support@carambiance.app.
What we do not collect
- No account, name, email address or phone number is needed to use the app.
- The app does not use your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
- No advertising, no advertising identifiers and no tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
- We do not use advertising or marketing analytics in the app or on this website, and this website sets no cookies.
Information the app uses
Your choices, stored on your iPhone
Your favourite moods, picture setting (fit, fill or zoom), autoplay preference, the last scene you played and similar settings are saved only on your device. They are not sent to us, and they are removed when you delete the app.
Loading scenes
The list of scenes is loaded from Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), and the videos, sounds and images are delivered by Cloudflare’s content network. Like any service on the internet, these providers receive technical information needed to deliver content, such as your IP address, device and system type, and the time of the request. We use this only to deliver and protect the service, not to identify you.
Purchases
Optional in-app purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID; we never see your payment details. To confirm purchases and unlock what you bought, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user identifier, your purchase history and receipts, and basic device information. This identifier is random and is not linked to your name or email.
Crash reports
Firebase Crashlytics (Google) helps us keep the app stable. If the app crashes, it sends a crash report: where in the app the problem happened, the device model, and the iOS and app versions. Each time the app starts, it also sends a small diagnostic event (random installation and session identifiers, device model, iOS and app versions, network type and time) so we can see how often the app runs without crashing. None of this is linked to you; it is used only to find and fix problems, and crash reports are kept for 90 days.
When you contact us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and we delete them when they are no longer needed.
This website
This website is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting, which processes server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site. The site uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party fonts. If you use the button that pauses motion on the page, that choice is saved in your browser only and is never sent to us.
Service providers
- Apple — the App Store, payments and CarPlay.
- Google Firebase — the scene catalogue, crash reports and website hosting.
- Cloudflare — delivery of videos, sounds and images.
- RevenueCat — confirming purchases.
We share information with these providers only so they can provide their service to us. They process it on our behalf under data processing terms that require them to protect it to the same or an equal standard as this policy describes, and not to use it for their own purposes. Apple handles App Store purchases under its own privacy policy.
These providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where the law requires it, such transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and, for Türkiye, the safeguards provided for under KVKK.
Legal bases
Where data protection laws such as the EU and UK GDPR or Türkiye’s KVKK apply, we process the limited information above to provide the app and features you ask for (performance of a contract) and to keep the service running securely (legitimate interests).
How long we keep information
Settings stay on your device until you delete the app. Crash reports are kept for 90 days. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you. Providers keep technical logs for limited periods under their own policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to a data protection authority (in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority; in the EU, your local supervisory authority). Because we keep almost nothing that identifies you, the simplest way to remove your data is to delete the app. For anything else, email support@carambiance.app.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
